BIOGRAPHY

I will probably spend my whole life trying to present complicated things in a simple way.
Started almost 20 years ago as a web designer (wonderful time - no templates), I learned to do everything from scratch. Started with Illustrator 4.0 and was instantly hooked. Designing logos is serious business - but I'm having so much fun doing it - simply because it's always a challenge and the process is never the same.
Can't say much about my design style (that's probably a question for my clients) - but I do try to keep my designs simple, modern and clean. Sometimes ideas behind them are not so simple...

Logo for financial firm. Client wanted a bean like graphic, so that made my job easier ;-)

The Meatball Shoppe

Client wanted something "romantic", which will fit well in New Orleans old city. The first thing that came to my mind (and that's usually the best thing) was an old shop sign. Since this is a restaurant - the logo can actually be used as a shop sign.
Surprisingly enough - most problems came when I tried to decide on the colors. To be bright, fun, romantic - and yet classy...and the final idea for the colors came from an unusual place - my spices cupboard...

Barry Segen Logo

Barry Segen Associates, Inc.

Visual merchandising and store design company from New York City. Simple, "less is more" design, since there is a lot of text involved...
In (not just) my opinion - logos have to work perfectly in black and white...sometimes they work so good - it's a shame to add any color to it. This is one of those cases...

Logo suggestion for neckwear fashion label. Combination of letter T and number 7 (sette in Italian)

Purefections

logo for Purefections chocolates - again, a bit of an old-style design - just a slight twist to it...

Mar Azul Tequila

Logo for Mar Azul Tequila - background graphic is flower similar to the one on the Aztec Calendar.
This logo was done in several color combinations, but this blue background is my personal favorite

Elegant, warm, feminine and simple.
Client needed a logo that will be used on their future website and on their products.

Boston Home Team

Logo for real estate firm located in Boston. Combining architecture and construction.

Center for Communities logo

Portland Leadership Foundation - Center for Communities logo. Non profit organization - bringing communities together...that's basically idea behind this logo.

bridge - as the symbol of brigning people together - is the main element.

True Color

Logo design concept for True Color Graphics
Colorful, but also playful logo. I tried to stay away from color splashes – that’s too untidy for printing company.

Ollo Group Logo

Ollo group main business areas are commercial office furniture and services.
Furniture in logos can look cartoonish - and I tried to avoid that by simplifying it as much as possible

although I'm against using bottles and glasses in logos - this time I made and exception. Simply because bottle is not the main element here.

I Glam

Logo for hair and beauty website.
My idea was to make a logo which will be stylish, and yet not have obvious "beauty"or feminine elements.
Simple graphic with G and I with rounded font

Core Seal

Seal type logo for LCAB. Since their certification process deals with the renewable energy, incorporated in the center of the seal are color representations of the 3 main elements - sun, wind and water.

Urban Golf Classic Brochure

Simple tri-fold brochure for Urban Classic Golf Tournament - annual event organized by the Portland Leadership Foundation. They decided it's time to change their brochure - with such a large amount of text, I decided to use plain blue background with no background image to make the text easily readable

Radiance Salon & Spa

After winning on a logo contest, Radiance salon and spa asked me to do a total re-branding (brochures, signs, stationery).
Since many businesses use lotus graphic in their logos - the main challenge with this logo was not to look like everyone else.

Logo for insurance medical services
Inspiration for this (rather simple) logo is the cross - often used in logos for medical firms. I wanted the logo to convey a sense of protection - so the graphic element forming the cross are shield-like
